We are aware of the environmental impact of the fashion industry, so we take care when sourcing fabrics and choosing production sites. AYT Studio is still a young and small brand, so even though we are committed to acting sustainably, we are fully aware that we can do even more. However, thanks to client support, we will be able to invest further in the future. 

GOTS-certified organic cotton

Our t-shirts are made from organic cotton and we use recycled cotton canvas for our jeans, both certified by the Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS). This means that strict environmental, human rights and social requirements were met along the supply chain, from harvesting of raw materials, over manufacturing, down to labelling. Through favouring recycled GOTS-certified cotton canvas for our jeans, we contribute to closing the circle by reintroducing materials to the value chain and avoiding waste instead of requiring new production.

Twill silk using certified manufacturing processes in Italy

AYT Studio’s scarves are made from twill silk, a refined fabric with diagonal weave texture, which enhances durability. Raw materials are hand-finished in Como, Italy, using GOTS-certified printing and finishing processes as well as GRS-certified printing, finishing and washing processes. Implemented chemical protocols follow the ZDHC Manufacturing Restricted Substances List to eliminate toxic and harmful substances in production. 

USDA certified 85% Biobased Italian leather

Our bags are crafted from calf leather from Italy. The true essence of luxury footwear and leather goods, with fine full-grain bovine leather of European origin, characterised by unparalleled softness and a refined feel.
This leather has also been certified by the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) as containing 85% biobased content. This means that 85% of the carbon present comes from renewable biological sources, rather than fossil materials. The measurement follows the ASTM D6866 standard, ensuring rigorous and transparent evaluation.

Careful production in Europe

We limit our carbon footprint by producing in Europe and avoiding air freight transport. All of our models are made in France, Portugal and Lithuania, and printed in Italy. Additionally, our silk scarves are crafted with care in Como, Italy. Our totes are handcrafted in France.
